have flaky DNS servers. So, instead of using what you have been provided
by your ISP, You can switch your DNS servers to use other OpenDNS. Generally
OpenDNS are far faster as these use large caches. these are more reliable,
For Example using 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 as your domain name servers
will speed up most flaky DNS problems

Disable IPv6. IPv6 is the replacement for IPv4 when IPv4 runs out of possible IP
Addresses from all the new computers popping up around the world but it is used
only in few countries only. In your Firefox address bar type
"about:config" without the quotes. In the filter bar type
"ipv6" and one result should be left. Double click it,
network.dns.disableIPv6, so that its value is set to true.
